Special Events

October 29, 2020 (Amarillo Game)

At halftime, the senior students will be recognized for their contributions to the Westerner Band.  Parents of seniors are asked to complete the Senior Bio Form. The form should be completed and returned immediately to allow for event preparation and recognition of their student. Traditionally, Fatheads of each senior student is created. A volunteer will take a picture of each senior student so that the Fathead is created in time for Senior Night.

Parents of seniors will meet with a Booster Representative at the stands above the student band section at 6:30pm on October 29th. The Booster Representative will coordinate family check-in and will distribute numbers to each family as you arrive. At the end of the second quarter, families are asked to walk down to the track. Please follow numerical order and find your place in line. Families will be directed to enter the field where they will be joined by the senior students. Each senior’s name will be announced and their escort will be presented with a boutonniere. After the entire group is recognized on the field, families will return to the stands. We will be honoring many seniors, so please be on time for this special event.

Volunteers are needed to help prepare for this special night. Please email me at lhsband4life@gmail.com if you can help.

November 7, 2020 6-9pm

$8 for hayride, maze, cow train, and corn cannon

Every year the Westerner Band spends an evening at the At'l Do Farms. It's a great time for students and their families to wind down from such a hectic marching season. It's an a-MAZE-ing night of hayrides, venture through the maze, and of course hotdogs and S'mores at the campfire.

Each class will bring a specific type of food:

Freshman bring hotdogs

Sophomores bring buns

Junior bring chips

Seniors bring drinks

This year we will be sharing this night with LHS Choir.

Volunteers are needed to help prepare for this event. We will also need some BBQ grills & grillers.
